Biobank UK

UK Biobank is a large-scale biomedical database and research resource, containing in-depth genetic and health information from half a million UK participants. The database is regularly augmented with additional data and is globally accessible to approved researchers undertaking vital research into the most common and life-threatening diseases.

Biobank Bristol involved the installation of MRI, radiology and imaging facilities, as well as laboratory and office spaces – within a newly constructed commercial industrial building.  The project demanded the complex coordination of mechanical, electrical and medical building services, specialist healthcare services, structural and civil engineering works, internal fit out works and healthcare design. Delivering Biobank Bristol provided another research facility for Biobank UK in their mission to help fight life-threatening diseases.
